CERT IV QUALIFIED VETERINARY NURSE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Angle Park Veterinary Clinic. As a qualified Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients and their owners at our clinic located in Angle Park, South Australia.

What you'll be doing

· Assisting veterinarians in consultations, examinations, surgeries and other medical procedures (including x-ray, ultrasounds, dentistry)

· Triaging emergency patients, unscheduled patients and wildlife as required

Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients, including administering medications and providing nursing care

Performing various veterinary nursing duties, such as taking and processing lab samples, and maintaining medical records

Providing exceptional customer service and education to pet owners

Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for use

Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in veterinary nursing

What we're looking for

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Nurse or equivalent position in a small animal practice

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both clients and the veterinary team

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanour

Genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care
