About the role:

We seek experienced Project Manager/Estimator, with a proven history and strong construction/trade background to join our Building and Construction team. This role would suit someone with a passion for site safety, quality and compliance, using their trade background to support their skills in site safety compliance.

As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be working alongside our site team with the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge, whilst you build your career with us.

MSB carries out maintenance and project works across multiple Defence and Government sectors in Townsville and North Queensland.

About you:

To be successful in the role you will need to have:

General knowledge of all building and construction site works

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple medium infrastructure projects

Previous experience in Estimating, Scheduling and Supervising trades and repairs (insurance related is preferred)

Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets

Manage project resources, including staff, consultants, and contractors

Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities

Identify and mitigate project risks and implement effective solutions

Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status reports

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards

Manage contract administration, variations, and dispute resolution

Foster strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities

Lead and mentor project team members to achieve project objectives

Proven track record of successful project delivery in North Queensland

Demonstrated experience in contract management and administration

Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite

Applicants must possess a strong ability to work outside their qualifications and be able to diversify over a variety of different project scopes.
