The Role

The Property/Construction Liability team is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join their team. It is a national team, so this role can sit either in the Sydney or Brisbane office. In this role you will be working with leading Insurance lawyers across a range of litigation matters in the area of Property Insurance including complex indemnity disputes, liability and high value property recoveries, Professional Indemnity and General Insurance.

This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a highly regarded practice that strategically resolves complex matters. The successful candidate will collaborate on advising diverse clients including a range of international and domestic insurers and their corporate insureds.

You

The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years' experience in defendant insurance as a lawyer, particularly in the area of Property or Construction Insurance.

You will need to be able to:

• run files autonomously,
• review evidence,
• prepare advices,
• draft court documents,
• prepare and assist in Court, including briefing Counsel, and
• communicate with clients.
