About the Position:

Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Lawyer (2–5+ years PAE) to join their Brisbane-based insurance litigation team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of defendant insurance files and work closely with supportive Principals and the wider litigation team.

This is an engaging and rewarding role involving:

• Managing personal injury claims (especially under PIPA), public and product liability, professional indemnity, and subrogated recovery actions
• Drafting legal documents including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Negotiating settlements and attending mediations, court events, and conferences
• Providing guidance to junior staff and collaborating with legal support professionals
• Regular client communication and advisory work

Key Requirements:

• 2–5+ years PAE in insurance litigation, ideally in defendant personal injury or general liability
• Strong knowledge of PIPA, liability claims, court procedures, and pleadings

• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines efficiently
