The Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Designer with 5-8 years of experience to join our Brisbane team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for managing complex design projects, mentoring team members, and contributing to the growth of our civil design capabilities in the South East Queensland market.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage civil design projects from concept to completion

Develop detailed designs for urban developments, major roadworks, and complex infrastructure

Create and review 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical specifications

Optimize designs for constructability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness

Liaise with clients, authorities, and multidisciplinary teams

Review and approve design documentation before submission

Provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior staff

Contribute to business development activities including proposals and client presentations

Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance of all design outputs

Essential Requirements

5-8 years' experience in civil design for urban development and infrastructure projects

Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification

Expert knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and 12d Model software

Thorough understanding of SEQ planning schemes and design standards

Strong knowledge of Queensland development codes and approval processes

Experience managing medium to large-scale projects

Excellent technical writing and communication skills

Ability to lead design teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders

Desirable Skills

Experience with major highway and transport corridor projects

Knowledge of pavement design and road geometry optimization

Background in transport infrastructure including intersections and interchanges

Experience with civil works for major subdivisions and land development

Familiarity with Brisbane City Council and other SEQ local government requirements for road infrastructure

Experience with TMR standards and specifications
