We are a Geelong based boutique commercial construction company that specialises in Design & Construct projects for community housing organisations. We have a great working relationship with this client and we are looking for a highly skilled Site Foreman to assist our team deliver 16 x 1 bedroom units & communal facility safely, efficiently & to an exceptional standard.

We have extensive experience with these projects and you will be well supported in your role by our hands on Director and Operations Staff.

This project in Sunbury has commenced with structural concreting works near completion.

About this role

This is a site based role in Sunbury, Victoria. This would also suit someone Geelong based willing to travel.

As our Site Foreman, you will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities, ensuring the successful and timely delivery of our project. This full-time position requires exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to upholding safety & quality standards.

You will report to the Director & Construction Manager who both have a hands on approach to our projects & you will be supported by our internal operations staff.

Through recognition of your knowledge and skills you will operate your site with autonomy.

Your key focus is Safety & Quality.

What you'll be doing:

Management and coordination of trades on site.

Implement and manage the construction program.

Ensuring site specific OH&S policies and procedures are met.

Complete routine quality & safety inspections in accordance with our standards.

Ordering/Call up and procurement of materials.

Liaise with sub-contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Work on the tools is required at times.

Who we're looking for:

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings.

Relevant trade qualifications would be highly regarded

A working knowledge of structural concrete is advantageous.
