Great career opportunity for established Site Foreman looking to progress their career.

Immediate need for a Site Foreman to join an excellent established, highly reputable Australian Mid-Tier commercial, retail and industrial building contractor. Initially, you will work as a Site Foreman on a $20M live environment shopping center on the fringes of Brisbane CBD or a $30M new-build D&C industrial style distribution center 20k's South of Brisbane. Following this you’ll work on another project in Greater Brisbane in the mid-tier construction space, likely a shopping center refurb, a new-build warehouse, supermarket project and more, valued between $15M - $50M.

The Position – Site Foreman

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery team alongside the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator Leading Hand and Cadet. While working on this $20M extension and refurb of the shopping center project or on a new-build industrial warehouse, your duties will include;

Conduct site inductions

Interpret and work off plans

Supervise apprentices and labourers while delegating tasks

Management of sub-contractors and trades on site through whole project life-cycle

Identify, rectify and manage defect works

Read and work off construction plans

Ensure works are undertaken safely – Recognise and rectify safety issues

Use initiative to keep job running smoothly in the absence of supervisors

To be suitable for the role it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

A carpentry trade background is ideal

Will have built up some strong supervisory skills as a Leading Hand and Site Foreman with recognised Australian commercial building contractors.

Will have ideally worked for reputable commercial contractors with established systems in place

Must have worked on commercial, retail and industrial building projects from $10M-$30M and have a strength in structures

Ideally a knowledge of the full project life cycle from structures and finishes.

Possess a ‘can-do’ positive attitude and be a positive member of the site team

Career focused and a desire to progress through to Site Foreman.
