About the role

Alkimos Family Practice is seeking a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual/part-time basis. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the phone, with excellent customer service

Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment calendar efficiently

Collecting patient information and updating medical records accurately

Handling patient enquiries and addressing any concerns in a professional and empathetic manner

Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management

Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the healthcare industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients from diverse backgrounds

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities

Proficiency in using medical practice management software and electronic record systems

A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
