COMPANY

This international business has been operating for over 15 years and imports a number of goods within the FMCG market.

POSITION

You will be responsible for creating a workplace that prioritises the safety and well-being of all workers, contractors, and visitors. Additionally, you must ensure the preservation of the environment affected by our client's operations. This will involve careful planning and implementation, in accordance with the businesses' HSE systems and procedures, while also adhering to applicable Federal and State WHS acts and legislation.

You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identifications, develop and deliver training and perform system audits
• Drive global safety initiatives within the front-line teams;
• Ensure continuous reporting on monthly training, safety observations, injury management and incident data;
• Facilitate HSE and ECO meetings
• Conduct incident investigations and determine corrective actions;
• Manage rehabilitation and return to work;
• Develop and continuously update policies, procedures, training documentation, training matrix; and
• Conduct HSE inductions for all new employees.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

To be considered for this position it is vital that you have the below experience:

• A proven track record of WHS experience from either Senior Advisor, Officer or Manager level
• Strong understanding of Warehouse/Transport/Logistics Operations from an OHS & WHS perspective is a MUST
• Qualifications in OHS and/or WSE
• A continuous-improvement mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
