About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing Management System and leading strategies to improve safe work practices and build a positive health and safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

This varied and rewarding role includes:

  • Incident Management: Manage incident reporting and investigations, ensuring timely action and effective corrective measures. Oversee workers compensation claims and return-to-work processes, and act as the key liaison with WorkSafe Victoria to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Legislative Compliance: Lead and improve RSPCA Victoria’s WHS&W Management System, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse safety and wellbeing data to identify trends and improvements, preparing reports for key stakeholders.
  • Safety Culture: Promote a proactive safety culture, prioritising the health, safety, and wellbeing of staff and volunteers. This includes driving engagement, ensuring clear communication, and providing support in hazard identification, risk management, and safety consultation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive professional with:

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health, Safety and Welling related legislation, regulations and practices.
  • Previous experience in analysing and reporting on safety and wellbeing data to identify trends and inform strategies and corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing strategies to make a measurable difference to the safety and welling of people within the organisation.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and collaborate in a team environment.

Essential Requirements:

  • Possession of a current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Certificate IV in Health & Safety and a Return to Work certification (highly regarded)
