We are currently seeking a Full time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine and the Brimbank Community.
The role
Reporting to the Coordinator of Child and Family Health and Wellbeing, we are seeking a Maternal Child Health Team Leader who can bring their skills and experience for:
- Lead and manage the provision of a high-quality Maternal and Child Health Service (MCH);
- Contribute to the Development and implementation of strategic plans, service improvement and innovation to address the evolving needs of the community
- Raise the profile of the MCH service and work in partnership with internal and external agencies, State Government, and tertiary institutions.
To be considered you will have:
- Local government experience is desirable
- Demonstrated ability and experience in MCH nursing with a strong knowledge and understanding of current theory and practice issues relevant to the MCH service.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor staff
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate professional development programs for MCH staff.
- Demonstrated experience in counselling and mentoring staff.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Council's policies and procedures and the operation of Local Government in general.
- Commitment to implementing Council's values and behaviours.
