Workfast is currently seeking experienced Formwork / FRP Carpenters to join our team on a major Water Treatment Plant project in Wollongong.

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified tradespeople to secure consistent, long-term work on high-profile Sydney Water infrastructure sites.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Formwork / FRP Carpenter
• Proven ability to build, install and dismantle formwork systems (steel, timber, or modular)
• Experience working on civil or water infrastructure projects highly regarded
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Carpentry or equivalent
• White Card – mandatory
• Full Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid visa)
• Strong commitment to worksite safety and compliance
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and follow instructions

Bonus if you have:

• Confined Space or Working at Heights tickets
• Dogman/Rigger or EWP tickets
• Experience working with precast and in-situ concrete structures
• Local to Wollongong, Illawarra, or southern Sydney

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and dismantle formwork and falsework for concrete structures
• Install reinforcement and formwork systems for tanks, pits, and slabs
• Assist with concrete pours, stripping, and finishing works
• Read and interpret drawings, formwork layouts, and project plans
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
• Contribute to a clean and productive site through general labour and support tasks
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in toolbox talks
