Be Part of Something Bigger: The Role

As a Finance Officer, you will be a core member of our Finance Team, playing a key role in supporting our mission by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient financial processes. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our services and help us deliver vital support to the community.
In this full-time role, you’ll report to the Finance Manager and support a broad range of finance functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reporting, and compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments and receivables, reconcile transactions, and liaise with suppliers and clients.
• Payroll Support: Enter and update employee information, assist with deductions and leave processing, and support smooth onboarding in collaboration with HR.
• Financial Reporting & Systems: Compile reports using Xero and MYP, support compliance, and participate in month-end processes.
• Customer Service: Respond to internal and external finance queries professionally and promptly.
• Banking & Reconciliation: Process payments, receipts, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Team Collaboration: Support colleagues, back up team members during leave, and contribute to a positive and innovative team culture.

What You Bring to the Table

• Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma in Business, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (or currently working towards).
• Technical Skills: Experience with financial systems (especially Xero), data entry, reporting, and using Microsoft Office suite.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy and strong organisational skills in managing multiple tasks.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with a professional and proactive approach.
• Problem Solving: Initiative, judgement, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
