SustainRecruit are thrilled to be partnering with a prominent and highly-regarded Australian Financial Services firm in their search for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their team. This role is a growth-based position to support the firm as they continue to expand their investment portfolio with room to progress within the team and take on further responsibilities in due course as well.

In this role, you will be collaborating with senior members across the finance team, working with various external stakeholders and acting as the main point of contact for the fund. Sitting within a high-performing team, this role will provide opportunities to upskill, take ownership of work and grow with one of the leading players across the APAC region.

In this role, you will;

• Coordinate with the external fund administrator to oversee the daily accounting operations of the daily liquid debt fund, ensuring precise tracking of cash, investments, and other fund assets.
• Ensure the accurate and timely calculation of the NAV of the fund on a daily basis
• Review financial reports for the fund, including daily NAV statements, annual audited financial statements, and investor reports.
• Serve as the key liaison with external auditors during the year-end audit, assisting in the preparation of audited financial statements.
• Monitor and manage fund liquidity to ensure the fund can meet daily redemption requests without impacting performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all fund-related accounting matters, addressing inquiries from internal stakeholders, investors, and third parties.
  
  

Experience/skills that we are ideally looking for;

• CA/CPA Qualified
• 5+ years' experience in fund accounting with exposure to debt funds
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ambitious and motivated, with an initiative-led mindset
