Join the Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (the PHN) as a Business Development Manager to make a difference in the health of our communities. You’ll work with the Executive Manager to lead the implementation of our fundraising strategy and income diversification efforts. This includes developing philanthropic and corporate partnerships, securing competitive tenders, and exploring innovative funding sources to support our purpose of increasing equitable access to primary health care.

About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will lead the implementation of our Diversified Funding Framework, embedding a culture of income diversification and fundraising across the organisation securing funding through strategic partnerships, competitive tenders, and exploring potential monetisation opportunities.

What you will bring to the role

• Experience delivering fundraising or business development strategies, with a focus on partnerships and securing new funding streams outside routine government allocations.
• A strong track record in identifying and coordinating competitive tenders, grant submissions, and funding proposals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging stakeholders across corporate, philanthropic, health, and community sectors.
• Strong networking and relationship management skills, including the ability to represent the organisation at events and forums.
• A collaborative working style and experience partnering across teams to deliver complex projects.

Additional Information
Salary classification: This position falls under bands O–T in our Enterprise Agreement, with the final rate based on skills and experience. New appointments are typically made between levels O and Q.
