We are seeking a proactive and driven Mining Autonomous Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role plays a critical part in evaluating the feasibility of deploying autonomous solutions in mining operations, designing system integration and implementation plans, and leading on-site deployment activities. The engineer will ensure our technology performs reliably and efficiently in complex mining environments and support the conversion of technical success into commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the early-stage evaluation of potential projects by analyzing the technical feasibility and adaptability of autonomous systems in specific mining scenarios, and estimating the resources required for implementation.

Assess the readiness of existing site infrastructure for autonomous system deployment—including road conditions, communication networks, power supply, and control room facilities—and provide recommendations for upgrades or optimizations.

Design site-specific integration and deployment plans for the autonomous system, working with product and R&D teams to confirm implementation pathways and identify potential risks.

Lead the implementation of the autonomous solution, including network acceptance, server deployment, application installation, vehicle commissioning, system integration and performance validation.

Coordinate with clients and third-party contractors to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure aligned with technical specifications.

Prepare technical documentation including solution proposals, deployment plans, risk assessments, and implementation reports.

Act as a technical liaison to support client communication, build confidence in the proposed solutions, and facilitate commercial conversion.

Provide ongoing technical support post-deployment, including troubleshooting and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

A valid WA Driver’s Licence

Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site at remote mining locations as required.

Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining technology or related industries. Experience with autonomous systems, mining operations, or system integration is preferred.

Familiarity with autonomous driving technologies.

Good understanding of network communications and IT infrastructure.

Proven experience in solution design, cross-functional coordination, and technical support for clients.

Strong logical thinking, accountability, and the ability to adapt and problem-solve in dynamic field conditions.
