About the role
The Nursing Director provides contemporary operational and professional nursing leadership for the Healthcare Standards Unit. The role shapes clinical and corporate governance; and provides the coordination of service delivery, human and material management, expertise in health care team communication, data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision.
- Promote a quality-supportive culture and consistently apply evidence-based practice.
- Provide leadership, direction, and management of clinical and non-clinical staff of the Healthcare Standards Unit.
- Lead the planning, coordination, development, and implementation of registered documents relating to the provision of safe and effective clinical care for the North West Hospital and Health Service.
- Work collaboratively with leadership groups and healthcare team members.
- Employ professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing/midwifery executive and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences as a Registered Nurse.
- A post graduate qualification or currently enrolled in a post graduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
- Appointees will be required to work Monday to Friday business hours and as required for the organisation.
- The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
