Our Client:

We're working with a start-up in the Ed-Tech space that's using AI to make the sector more efficient for educators.

They're on the hunt for a Design System Engineer who lives at the intersection of design and code — someone who’s been a designer but now builds front-end systems with strong engineering fundamentals. This role is critical, as the hire will take ownership of our Flutter-based design system and lead its implementation as part of a major app rebrand and redesign.

Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end implementation of a design system in Flutter

Translate new brand guidelines into reusable, scalable UI components

Partner with designers to ensure visual fidelity, usability, and accessibility

Build documentation and processes to make the system easy to use and evolve

Drive the rebrand rollout across the app, ensuring consistency and quality

Influence the future of our front-end architecture with thoughtful system design

Work with cross-functional teams and help bridge the gap between design and code

Who we are looking for:

Proven experience as a Design System Engineer or front-end engineer with deep design collaboration

Background as a designer, with strong sensitivity to visual and UX design

Expert-level Flutter skills (this is non-negotiable — you’ll be leading here)

Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale

Passion for clean, maintainable code and a keen eye for detail

Strong communication and documentation skills

Bonus: Experience in rebranding or large-scale design overhauls
