Work Health & Safety Coordinator- Contract

We are looking for an experienced safety professional to join our project team on a 12 month contract based (potential for extension) out of Edinburgh, SA. As a WHS Coordinator, you will actively manage project WHS compliance and provide support to our project team.

This role will be site-based with a heavy focus on company and contractor safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce onsite WHS compliance, including contractor compliance
• Manage site inductions and site attendance
• Manage contractor onboarding processes including plant inductions, SWMS review, permit to work and competencies.
• Conduct site inspections and audits
• Conduct regular site walks to identify and resolve safety issues.
• Lead safety meetings and training sessions
• Manage incident reporting and investigation.
• Prepare and submit safety reports to senior management

Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ WHS experience in high risk construction development
• Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and practices
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects
• Certificate 4 Work Health and Safety minimum.
• Lead Internal Auditor (desirable).
• ICAM Lead Incident Investigation (desirable).
