Work Health & Safety Coordinator- Contract
We are looking for an experienced safety professional to join our project team on a 12 month contract based (potential for extension) out of Edinburgh, SA. As a WHS Coordinator, you will actively manage project WHS compliance and provide support to our project team.
This role will be site-based with a heavy focus on company and contractor safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce onsite WHS compliance, including contractor compliance
- Manage site inductions and site attendance
- Manage contractor onboarding processes including plant inductions, SWMS review, permit to work and competencies.
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Conduct regular site walks to identify and resolve safety issues.
- Lead safety meetings and training sessions
- Manage incident reporting and investigation.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to senior management
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ WHS experience in high risk construction development
- Strong knowledge of WHS regulations and practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Certificate 4 Work Health and Safety minimum.
- Lead Internal Auditor (desirable).
- ICAM Lead Incident Investigation (desirable).
