We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader Community Safety & Security to join our team!

What You Will Do:

As the Team Leader for Community Safety and Security, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the Community Safety Plan, oversee the CitySafe program, and ensure the safety of public spaces across Cairns. Your role will encompass both proactive and reactive responses to safety issues, managing strategic partnerships, and overseeing cutting-edge security systems like CCTV to keep our community safe.

This is a truly unique opportunity to lead and innovate in a role that plays a vital part in the security and safety of Cairns, both in our vibrant CBD and throughout our beautiful suburbs.

What We Are Looking For:

Tertiary qualifications and or extensive experience in community safety and crime prevention or related field.

Current Drivers Licence with the ability to independently drive between all business locations to meet operational needs or the ability to obtain.

Demonstrated experience with CCTV technologies and monitoring.

Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and provide expert advice using own expertise and judgement based on qualifications and experience towards the primary objective of the position.

Demonstrated leadership and contract management experience.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including; consultation, networking, liaison, conflict resolution and report writing.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders in a community context with a focus on solutions.
