About the role
Join ACMI as an Exhibitions Technician (ICT) and provide Exhibition related ICT support, computer management, hardware specification development and purchasing with a specific focus on videogames exhibitions. Reporting to the Exhibitions Technical Manager, this new role plays an integral part of the technology approach to our videogames exhibitions with an emphasis on public playability, creating a robust ICT environment for public interaction onsite and touring. The role is full time fixed term for 9 months from commencement.
What you'll bring to the role
- Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, or a related field and/or technical expertise gained through extensive practical experience providing IT infrastructure systems development, implementation, support and maintenance.
- Demonstrated AV and IT experience in securing interactive kiosks, digital displays, and other public-facing devices, ideally in a museum or similar public environment. Experience with network computers and other networked devices.
- Sound understanding of Macintosh operating systems (OS X and above), Windows operating systems, and Linux. A good technical knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN), Unix servers, and IT security systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining IT security standards.
- Familiarity with cloud-based services data storage solutions, github, mobile device management, and APIs.
- Ability to evaluate and implement continual improvements to IT exhibition systems.

- Full time fixed term role for 9 months from commencement ongoing. Grade 3.1 role with a starting salary of $74,580 plus super.
