We are looking for committed and hardworking Labourers - Landscape Services to join our team. This position demands a strong emphasis on safety, environmental awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

As a Landscape Services Labourer, you will:

Maintain and upgrade gardens, turfed areas, and other landscape features

Establish new gardens and turf areas as required, adhering to safety and environmental guidelines

Ensure public areas and facilities are presented in a safe and sanitary manner

Monitor, report, and promptly address any defects or issues within the landscapes

Communicate effectively with the public and liaise with other Council staff as needed

Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or the team

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

A Current Queensland Light Rigid (LR) Driver’s Licence or the ability to obtain one

A White Card (General Safety Construction) certification

Working in Proximity to Traffic - Awareness Part 1 & Part 2 (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain

Physically fit and able to perform strenuous labouring tasks

Previous experience in landscape maintenance activities

Knowledge and experience in pest, disease, and weed management practices

Sound understanding of chemical use in horticulture

Proficiency in operating horticultural machinery
