Our client based in Thornleigh have the requirement to for an MR or HR Drivers/Labourers to join their AMAZING team.

Your day will see you assisting in maintaining safe and enjoyable recreational and leisure facilities within parks, reserves, sports grounds, CBD’s and the urban landscape and to operate and maintain plant in a professional and safe manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Undertake tasks as required by the Parks Ganger and/or Service Unit Supervisors within the skills, training, qualifications and experience of the role

Ensure that instructions and procedures are followed at work sites for the safety of the public, employees and contractors

Assist in the maintenance parks, reserves and sports grounds for the safety and enjoyment of others

Operate Vehicles including trucks, water carts, loaders as required

Undertake effective use of and care and maintenance of resources, including but not limited to, plant and equipment, tools and materials in a safe and efficient manner

Complete administration and paperwork as required relating to vehicles efficiently and effectively

6-8 weeks initially but potential for permanent for the right person

Experience:

Good level of fitness to perform labouring tasks

Ability to communicate with the public in a courteous manner

Good written and oral English communication

Previous experience in truck driving

Previous experience in labouring tasks

Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret manuals, and safe work method statements applicable to the work requirements

Understanding of public reserve notice

Sound knowledge of sites within local area and geography of Hornsby Shire

Licences or Certificates:

Current MR or HR licence

Occupational Health and Safety Induction Certificate for construction work
