We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As a Payroll Officer, you will assist in the maintenance and processing of Cairns Regional Council’s payroll system. Your role will ensure the accurate and timely payment of staff, while providing exceptional service to employees and addressing payroll-related inquiries.
What We Are Looking For:
Demonstrated experience directly related to the responsibilities of the role or in a similar capacity.
Previous experience with payroll processes in local government is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
Very good data input skills. Ability to maintain speed and accuracy for both alpha and numeric characters.
A customer-centric approach with a strong focus on delivering high-quality service.
Experience with computerised payroll systems.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Collaborative team player with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
