About the role:
- Work collaboratively with the Office of the Chief Midwife Officer (OCMwO) Midwifery Team specifically the Assistant Director of Midwifery – Supporting Healthier Pregnancies which is an element of the Putting Queensland Kids First Strategy.
- Support the statewide clinical lead to support Hospital and Health Service clinicians to review, embed, and sustain preventive health care at the local level.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a self-referral pathway for pregnancy care which includes triage and referral to specific models of care.
- Contribute to building capacity and systems for vulnerable women, chronic disease, and future health risk screening of pregnant women in public antenatal care services across the state, with clear support pathways.
- Enable and strengthen intensive smoking/vaping cessation support across the state for pregnant women and their partners.
About you:
- Current Midwifery registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A Bachelor or Diploma of Midwifery or relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Endorsement for scheduled medicines for midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA) is highly desirable.
- A post graduate qualification, or current enrolment in a post graduate program in a relevant area of study is highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $66.85 - $72.58 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
