About the role

Provide expert clinical knowledge and clinical care in Caseload Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) for women and babies with a variety of conditions and support a safe care environment through role modelling and application of the principles of contemporary evidence-based woman and baby focused care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. In addition, this role will provide support and direction to the Registered Nurse, Midwife, and other non-registered personnel in more complex situations.

• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical and critical thinking skills including expert planning and coordination in the clinical management of the woman, baby, and family within the Birth Centre MGP model of care.
• Facilitate and develop best practice in continuous improvement of the safety and quality of services that promotes humanising maternity care for women, babies, and families.
