About the role

This full-time Seasonal Fugal Operator position at Rocky Point Sugar Mill in Woongoolba, QLD offers the opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing team in the sugar production industry. You will be on a rotating 8 hour shift doing 12 day-fortnights during our cane season (June - December). As a Fugal Operator, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and processing of sugar, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

Operating and monitoring high and low grade fugal equipment, including control panels and valve, to separate sugar crystals from the molasses

Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the fugal machinery

Ensuring production targets are met by optimising the performance of the fugal process

Adhering to strict safety protocols and quality control measures throughout the production process

Collaborating with the wider manufacturing team to identify and implement process improvements

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the fugal operation

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with safety procedures and quality control practices in a production environment
