The Company:

We are working with a specialist Management Rights company to find their new Caretaker/Building Manager to be based in a beautiful new building in East Brisbane. This is a hands-on, full-time role, with no expectation to live onsite, but must be available for any emergencies after hours when they arise.

The Position:

You will be responsible for ensuring the building is maintained to the highest of standards, and strong relationships are built with both the residents and the Body Corporate committee. We require someone with previous experience within the Building Management/Caretaking/Facilities space. Some of your responsibilities will include:-

• Provide outstanding customer service to all residents
• Coordinate contractors as required
• Maintain service agreements
• Liaise with the Body Corporate Committee, attending meetings as required
• Coordinate and conduct general repairs, cleaning and maintenance
• Complete periodic maintenance performance reporting
• Identify and ensure all defects are resolved within agreed time frames
• Handle out of hours emergency maintenance
• Monitor cleaning of common areas and garden maintenance of property grounds including pool
• Attend after hours emergency calls where required
• Use of MYBOS software

We are searching for someone professional, yet approachable with:

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders including residents, contractors and body corporate.
• The ability to delegate tasks and is confident showing leadership
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Basic handyman/maintenance skills
• Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and do whatever is required to get the job done - this is a hands on position!
• A basic understanding of building services, operations and Caretaking Agreements
