This position is classified as a PACS Band 5 ($76,199 - $83,003 p.a pro rata) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

What’s On Offer
A rare opportunity has been created for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join the Community Services and Partnerships team at the City of Kwinana. You will lead a team of Casual Youth Officers and facilitate the successful day-to-day delivery of the Arclight Initiative through ensuring school readiness, mentoring, role modelling, life skills, planning, facilitation, 1:1 support, conflict resolution and transport for vulnerable young people between 12 and 15 years of age.
What You’ll Need
Previous experience in leading a team.
Previous experience in working with vulnerable or ‘at-risk’ young people utilising a ‘trauma informed’ approach.
Previous experience in youth program planning, development and delivery, youth centre drop-in supervision, or a similar role.
Well-developed working knowledge of social issues that impact young people, as well as both Indigenous and CaLD culture, and related impacts for young people in urban settings.
Sound analytical, report writing, data collection and computer literacy skills.
Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
Qualification in youth work or similar and/or substantial experience in a related field.
Driver’s Licence and willingness to obtain Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, Provide First Aid Certificate and work after hours and weekends
