About the Client

Our Client is an established and high performing independent girls school with an outstanding reputation for academic excellence.

Located in modern facilities with fully maintained school grounds, our client provide girls with opportunities to pursue personal and academic excellence in a respectful and supportive environment.

We are looking for an experienced Applied Computing and Technology Teacher to join their team on a Fixed-Term basis in Term 3.

The role includes teaching a small Year 12 Applied Computing class, as well as the following subjects:

Year 10 Digital Technology (E-commerce and Data Analytics)

Year 9 Rocketry

Year 9 Design and technology

Year 7 STEM

The teaching load for this position amounts to 0.8 full time equivalent across the 10-day teaching cycle. There will also be free mornings and afternoons throughout the cycle.

About the Role

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for students in Years 7-12

Develop and implement creative, innovative, and differentiated teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs of our students

Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and maintain detailed records

Contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources

Participate actively in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice

Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and supportive learning environment

Actively engage in the broader life of the school community

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will have:

Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or Australian interstate equivalent;

Strong interpersonal skills in the context of relating to staff, students, parents and guardians, school support groups and members of the community;

Highly developed communication, planning, decision-making and negotiation skills; and

Appropriate expertise and experience in the areas of Teaching & Learning.
