At Diabetes Australia, we’re seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to coordinate our strategic engagement efforts and lead the secretariat responsibilities for our key advisory councils. From managing meetings and reporting to supporting stronger collaboration with peak bodies and stakeholders, your work will help drive real change for people living with diabetes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing secretariat support for advisory councils: coordinating communications, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and managing follow-up actions.

Supporting the smooth operation of advisory governance and internal collaboration.

Building and maintaining strong stakeholder records and engagement approaches.

Preparing reports, briefing papers, and milestone updates.

Planning and delivering stakeholder meetings, forums, and events.

Tracking budgets and supporting administrative excellence across engagement activities.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, or a related field.

Brings strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.

Communicates clearly and builds positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Has experience planning meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.

Is proficient with Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with stakeholder or CRM databases.

Can work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Is passionate about health, community engagement, or purpose-driven work.

Bonus points if you also have:

Experience working with government or health sector stakeholders.

Experience in survey coordination or evaluation projects.
