About the Company:
Our client provides specialist environmental and water management for infrastructure, resources, and private sectors. They are currently seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) for a casual contract until end of the financial year, with the genuine possibility of extension.
Hours are typically 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

About the Role:
As a Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry), you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the chemistry department to meet necessary guidelines.
• Perform chemical analysis of water, wastewater and environmental samples.
• Ensuring quality control criteria is met for all chemical analysis.
• Assisting supervisors in the development, verification, validation and implementation of new methods of analysis.
• Data entry into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Operating, calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment.

Skills & Experience:
To be considered for this position you must have:

• A tertiary qualification in Science or Applied Science;
• Previous experience performing chemical analysis of water and wastewater;
• An understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and well developed technical skills;
• Knowledge of ISO17025 and NATA requirements;
• Experience in using Laboratory Information Management Systems;
• Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills;
• Demonstrated experience as a multi-tasker and team player;
• Able to commence work immediately;
• Your own reliable vehicle & a C-class drivers licence.
