Role Overview: Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role aims to support pricing strategies and cost reduction through accurate cost analysis, ensuring visibility into profitability with effective cost modelling and insightful reporting. Your business partnering skills will ensure you provide informed decisions to track performance and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management and Analysis:
- Maintain and present quarterly waterfall analyses of all cost drivers.
- Provide management with recommendations on pricing strategies based on cost analysis.
- Support the executive leadership team in developing long-term cost reduction and strategic initiatives.
Cost Modelling:
- Build and maintain effective cost of goods sold (COGS) models.
- Provide dynamic updates and visibility of individual product and customer profitability.
- Conduct detailed scenario planning for new product releases and support post-launch review and validation processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Highlight key financial trends and performance metrics.
Strategic Advisory:
- Act as a strategic advisor to various departments, helping them understand financial data and its impact on business decisions.
- Monitor and evaluate business performance against financial targets.
- Provide regular updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
Financial Analysis and Planning:
- Support business strategy and operational decision-making through detailed financial analysis.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to understand their financial needs and challenges.
- Identify areas for cost control and efficiency improvement.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to prepare for various business conditions.
- Develop risk management strategies to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cost management, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and scenario planning.
