The role
As a Safe Custody & Records Officer, your duties will comprise of -
- Record, deposit and retrieve safe custody documents
- Register all documents into safe custody
- Open and close all safe custody packets
- Deal with authorities to release documents from clients, solicitors, attorneys and executors
- Monitor death notices through the InfoTrack System
- Deal with all requests regarding documents for safe custody items held on behalf of other professional firms
- Update database and other safe custody databases as documents added or released
- Undertake periodic and ad hoc safe custody audit procedures
- Attend to safe custody requests from or on behalf of clients within set time frames as requested
- Provide client contact support to lawyers in relation to safe custody matters, providing status updates, answering simple client queries and providing information as directed by lawyers
- Participate in face to face client contact with clients as requested by lawyers.
Your experience
You will have at least 2 years Safe Custody or Records Officer experience within a law firm or professional services background.

National Boutique specialist wills & estates law firm with 20 staff. Salary negotiable, dependent upon experience (between $75,000 - $85,000 including Superannuation).
