The Gig
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger accuracy.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, scheduling payments, and handling client billing.
Support monthly and annual reporting, budget planning, forecasting, and audit prep.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, GST/BAS obligations, and internal controls.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment gateways, and supplier statements.
Create, review, and post end-of-month journals to meet reporting deadlines.
Provide financial support across the hotel, working with events, front office, and F&B teams.
Train and guide daily workflow, supporting our team.
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments to resolve account queries with clarity and professionalism.
Champion system improvements to make our financial processes smarter, faster, and smoother.
About You
You’ve got a solid foundation in finance or accounting, with a degree or relevant experience to back it up (bonus points for CPA/CA vibes).
You’ve worked in a hotel or hospitality setting—or somewhere just as fast-paced—with the ability to keep your cool under pressure.
Experience in reconciliations, reporting, month-end, and GST/BAS.
Tech savvy, knowing your way around financial systems, Excel and Google Workspace, with the ability to pick up new tech quickly.
You’re all about the details, super organised, and you love making sense of the numbers.
You’re a natural communicator—clear, confident, and easy to work with, whether it’s suppliers, internal teams, or auditors.
You enjoy mentoring and collaborating, bringing a positive, proactive energy to the team.
Most of all, you care about quality, consistency, and creating great experiences for guests and our team behind the scenes.
