Salary Range: $78,456.56 - $90,192.96 plus 11.5% superannuation

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to build and maintain trusting relationships with Aboriginal families and community leaders to support their engagement in the First 1000 Days Program.
The Role
As the Aboriginal Engagement Officer, you will support the delivery of Welcome Booari to Country ceremony, ensuring it is culturally appropriate and meaningful for all participants.
You will actively engage with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and participate in relevant networks to ensure positive relationships are maintained and they have a voice in the design and delivery of the First 1000 Days program.
About You
As Aboriginal Engagement Officer, you will understand and/experience with the local ATSI community.
You will have the ability to identify and address barriers that Aboriginal families may face when accessing Early years services.
You must have exceptional time management skills and be able to set priorities, plan and organise own work, and work together to contribute to the determined priorities of the role.
You'll need:
- A degree or diploma in First Nations competencies, community development or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience or sound understanding of planning, implementing and evaluating community engagement activities/projects with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Sound understanding in First Nations cultures and community development or similar field.
- Experience in coordinating and delivering community events would be advantageous but is not essential.
