Mathematics Pointt, an esteemed online tutoring organisation based in Melbourne, is actively seeking registered secondary school teachers or seasoned educators to join our team of online tutors. We serve students from all grade across Victoria, specialising in Mathematics.

Position Overview:

You will conduct well-structured one-hour online one-on-one sessions using the Victorian curriculum as the foundation.

We require educators on a priority basis for the below subjects:

VCE General Maths Units 1, 2, 3 and 4

VCE Maths Methods Units 1, 2, 3 and 4

VCE Specialist Maths Units 1, 2, 3 and 4

Key Responsibilities:

Assess students' abilities and conduct sessions based on the lesson plan.

Tailor sessions to address each student's individual academic needs and goals.

Give parents verbal or written feedback via email or video call when required.

Clarify student doubts and provide support during the week via email/text/WhatsApp.

Send a summary email to parents after each session and send text reminders before the lessons.

Maintain detailed session records for future reference and communicate with parents/guardians about areas of concern.

Essential Criteria (Must have):

Based in Australia with full working rights, holding a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or equivalent state registration.

Have at least one year of online tutoring experience.

Communication is crucial in this role, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to being readily available via text/email/WhatsApp throughout the tutoring engagement.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and respond promptly to all correspondence (text/email/WhatsApp).

Use your own teaching resources for the sessions, as Mathematics Pointt does not provide educational resources.

Have your own licensed Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet account.

Minimum of 4 hours of availability per week during peak tutoring times (4 pm - 8 pm, Monday to Friday, and weekends).

Prerequisites:

Personal computer/laptop, strong internet connection, digital writing pad, and headset.

Commitment to timely communication via email, text, and phone.

Australian Business Number (ABN) and ability to issue invoices with GST.
