About the Role PSG are representing a leading national organisation within the manufacturing sector who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a temp to perm full-time basis. This position is based in SOR, Perth and will suit a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will oversee the finance function and mentor a small team, while delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting operational leaders, and leading improvements in financial processes and systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting

• Lead month-end processes, including project profitability analysis
• Ensure financial reporting is in line with AASB/IFRS and taxation standards
• Prepare and publish weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
• Coordinate budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
• Monitor cash flow and oversee preparation of tax compliance packs
• Provide support and analysis for business cases and operational reviews
• Respond to audit requests and manage audit processes (internal and external)

Systems, Processes & Automation

• Drive automation via tools such as Cognos and Power BI
• Use ERP systems for financial operations
• Maintain controls to ensure data accuracy and fraud prevention
• Train internal users on finance system functionality and tools
• Maintain and liaise with IT on system issues and improvements

Leadership & Business Partnering

• Collaborate with the General Manager and operational leaders to support decision-making
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and executive-level presentations as required
• Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Contribute to a high-performance, values-driven team culture

Must Haves

• CA or CPA qualification
• 10 years' experience in finance and accounting leadership roles
• Proven background in manufacturing, wholesale, or mining industries
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Pronto & Power BI
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Regular travel interstate
