The Department:
Central APS agency, focused on providing crucial technical services to all aspects of the Australian community, businesses and other government agencies. They have offices based across Australia, so can consider employees from most locations, with Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane the preferred locations.

The Role:
This role leads the compensation and rehabilitation team, guiding the delivery of rehabilitation case management functions for compensable and non-compensable cases as well as injury management, return to work and early intervention functions.

As a highly skilled rehabilitation professional, this role will also provide strategic insights into the trends specific to this department, in rehabilitation cases, and maintaining compliance with legislation and minimise potential risk.

This is a vacant role so ideally can be filled by an ongoing s26 transfer, or non-ongoing contracts.

The Person:
To be successful in this role you will have experience in:

• leading rehabilitation case management functions, applying and interpreting the SRC Act and other relevant legislation;
• leading and mentoring other rehabilitation professionals
• managing complex and escalated rehabilitation case management, compensable and non-compensable
• preparing complex briefings and submissions for a variety of audiences; and
• working in a rehabilitation function in the APS

You must be an Australian Citizen and preferably hold a security clearance or be willing to obtain one.
