The Company
Our client is the Australian arm of a leading global manufacturer renowned for their commitment to innovation, safety and design, who manufacture, test and distribute their specialist products to meet the highest safety standards ensuring their clients’ businesses operate safely and efficiently.
The role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will report to the Purchasing Manager and play a crucial role hands-on role in managing the day-to-day operations of their warehouse and small team. You will lead by example, ensuring that their impeccable safety standards are upheld while maintaining inventory accuracy and organising incoming materials, parts, components and products within the facility. Hours of work are 8.30 to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
· Competent operation of high reach and counterbalance forklift
· Implement and enforce operational policies.
· Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
· Coordinate stock allocation and improve operational efficiency.
· Train, guide, and mentor warehouse staff.
· Ensure a clean and safe workplace.
· Coordinate stock transfers between interstate warehouses.
· Provide support and backup to the Purchasing Manager
· Participate in rolling stock counts and stock control.
· Lead daily inspections of the warehouse grounds.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a small warehouse or distribution environment.
· Certificate III in Warehousing (Not essential)
· Current NSW forklift license with high reach operation experience.(Essential)
· Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Computer skills and proficiency in inventory management systems.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Solid understanding of safety procedures and policies.
