Located in the heart of the city, we operate 7 days a week, serving both lunch and dinner, bringing an authentic seafood dining experience to our guests. Known for our exceptional service, lively atmosphere, and high-quality seafood, we are committed to delivering a unique and memorable dining experience.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team and help maintain the high culinary standards of The Boiling Crab. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and leading the culinary team. You will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, maintaining high hygiene standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen workflow.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.

· Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.

· Contribute to menu planning and innovation, bringing new ideas to enhance the dining experience.

· Supervise and support kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality.

· Assist in overseeing food inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing any wastage

· Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards

· Ensure customers are served in a professional and timely manner.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Experience & Skills Required

A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a chef in a busy restaurant environment.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

Relevant qualification in commercial cookery

Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
