About the role
Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide leadership in service quality improvement and patient safety across the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS) to support and develop a culture of safety and reliability in client care. To operationalise, evaluate and maintain an overarching governance framework with a focus on safety, quality, risk management and evidence-based service provision within QFMHS.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary safety, quality and risk management practices through professional development and contribute to the development of an organisational research culture, and a learning healthcare system approach.
- Provide support to facilitate end to end best practice in clinical incident management which incorporates application of human factors, systems theory, safety principles
- Actively participating in a working environment supporting quality human resources management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, work, health and safety, and ethical behaviour.
- Staff are expected to possess knowledge of, or have the ability to acquire knowledge of, principles of patient-centred care, recovery-focussed care and trauma-informed care.
