Due to our continued growth, our Knoxfield depot is currently looking for a Yard Person/Refueller to add to their existing team.

The key responsibilities of this role will be to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the depot yard including pre trip inspections, advice and direction to drivers, yard maintenance, vehicle preparation and OH&S issues

The Role

• Prepare, maintain and operate Fleet in accordance with the Bus Safety Act 2009
• Coordination and participation of vehicle re-fuelling
• Maintain a high standard for our fleet of vehicles on a daily basis including Internal cleaning of buses and meeting presentation expectations
• Liaise with the Workshop and Operations staff with any defected vehicles
• Carry out daily Pre trip Inspection, including fluid levels and tyre checks
• External wash of vehicles in accordance with company specifications, meet presentation expectations including under chassis
• Carry out Vehicle inspection in accordance with PTV and company requirements
• Minimise vehicle idling times and minimise noise and fume levels in the yard to minimise EPA / neighbourhood impact
• General facility maintenance, including as required – gardening, basic maintenance, rubbish collection and general cleaning of facility
• Maintain and update vehicle passenger signage and notices
• Other duties as directed by Management

In order to be considered for one of these roles, you will need:

• Previous yard and detailing experience
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Knowledge of Fuel Management system
• Relevant knowledge of Workshop procedures
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Current MR licence
• Excellent customer service and work in a professional manner
• Ability to pass a medical including drug and alcohol test
