About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Controller to join our dynamic team at Logical Staffing Solutions' West Footscray location. As a Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for the efficient management and coordination of our client's empty containers, ensuring optimal utilisation and compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a casual work type position based in West Footscray, VIC 3012.

What you'll be doing

Scheduling and dispatching vehicles to meet client demands and operational requirements

Monitoring vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records to identify opportunities for improvement

Coordinating vehicle maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime and ensure fleet reliability

Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on fleet performance and costs

Implementing and enforcing fleet policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Collaborating with other departments to optimise fleet utilisation and support the overall business objectives

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a fleet management or logistics role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders

Proficient in the use of fleet management software and MS Office suite, containerchain and onestop

Thorough understanding of fleet safety regulations and best practices

A valid driver's licence and the ability to navigate and plan efficient routes

Depending on your level of experience, our client is willing to pay up to $50 per hour to the successful candidate.
