The Fleet Controller role exists to run / control each day’s pre planned truck movements across the Container Transport business. The role aims to achieve each day’s plan on time and at the minimum cost possible by removing delays, running all vehicles as cost efficiently as possible and reallocating resources as and when required.

To act as the main liaison between the organization and the drivers / transport providers in order to efficiently achieve optimum container movements, in line with the manifested transport plan for each working day.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and execute a pre-planned schedule.
• Manifest import and full/MT containers when required.
• Re-book/book drivers when errors are made for MT export stackruns by depots.
• Provide pin numbers to drivers when required.
• Oversee the successful operations of multiple transport runs simultaneously
• Divert trucks if necessary to ensure all runs are completed within their allocated time.
• Monitor export stack runs and chasing up truck drivers to ensure runs are finished in time.
• Book Containerchain notifications to collect/drop off dehires as needed.
• Liaise with the operations planner to assist planning for the next day when runs are moved/uncompleted or as needed.
• Check all afterhours runs to ensure they can be completed. If the FC is not satisfied runs can be completed, the FC will either need to call in additional trucks or ask the planner to do so.
• Experience in Empty Bulk Allocation

Depending on your level of experience, our client is willing to pay up to $40 per hour to the successful candidate.
