Freight Operations - Freight Forwarding

We're currently sourcing a freight Operator to join a highly successful team. No Experience required and on the job training will be provided to successful candidate.

This position is perfect for the all-rounder, with the successful candidate being responsible for managing shipments from start to finish - for both imports and exports!

The specific requirements and responsibilities of this role include:

Be the liaison point for all Import / Export Customers including processing of documentation.

Have some knowledge of International Freight movements.

Coordinate bookings with customers, transport, shipping lines and Airlines.

Provide export & import quotations for shipping consignments.

Be the liaison point with overseas offices & agents networks.

Pro-actively update customers/agents/service providers on any issues that may occur

Manage all situations that arise with the customers.

Invoicing-Handling cost calculations, generating quotes and managing the invoice process

Database management and administration

Back-up support to other operators

Confident email, data entry and phone manner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously

Knowledge of CargoWise will be advantageous but not essential.

A passion for Supply Chain and Logistics is a must!

On the job training will be provided to the successful candidate.
