In 2024, Bloomhill Cancer Care became part of the Leukaemia Foundation, providing support services from its integrative cancer care centre in Buderim to address the growing need for cancer care in regional Queensland. Bloomhill Cancer Care is a local Cancer Care facility, established by the Sunshine Coast community for the Sunshine Coast community, to provide care and support for people of all ages living with cancer.
Opportunity
Based out of the Bloomhill Cancer Care head office in Buderim, the Operations Lead is a newly created full-time permanent position responsible for optimising internal processes, managing resources, maintaining quality standards and driving continuous improvements across the organisation. This role directly oversees the administration and volunteer functions, while working closely with fellow senior leaders to implement strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs and meet business objectives.
This role will also play a key role in supporting the onsite General Manager and contributing to the broader leadership team and organisational strategy to ensue alignment to our vision, mission and client experience.

- Proven experience in working as part of a leadership team and leading autonomously as required to achieve shared goals.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of the not-for-profit environment.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of professionalism and presentation.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and represent an organisation to the wider community.
- Ability to establish and maintain a good relationship and rapport with clients, volunteers, professional personnel and community members.
- Ability to lead and manage all members of the organisation on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, negotiation and customer service skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, resource management and financial analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement a system, process or procedure for effective utilisation of resources.
- Proven experience to manage the financial, human resource, data and planning needs of an organisation with both paid and volunteer staff.
- Knowledge of the Sunshine Coast community and health support needs of the region, desirable (or ability to acquire.)
- Knowledge of the operations of Cancer Care, desirable (or ability to acquire)
