Position Summary

Reporting to a visionary CEO as the Head of Sales, you’ll play a pivotal role in launching their new confectionery brand into the Australian market. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building key retail relationships, and laying the foundations for a national sales structure. This is a tenacious opportunity for a commercially driven leader who thrives on creating and executing sales strategies from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Market Entry & Channel Development: Lead the go-to-market rollout across grocery, retail, convenience, wholesale, and independent channels.

Customer Engagement: Secure listings with major national and regional retailers; develop and manage key customer relationships.

Sales Strategy & Execution: Design and execute short- and long-term sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional plans.

Team Building: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to support national growth.

Sales Operations: Implement systems and processes for pipeline management, sales forecasting, performance tracking, and CRM.

Budget & Revenue Management: Set sales targets, monitor performance, and manage P&L for the sales function.

Reporting & Insights: Deliver clear, actionable reports and insights to the CEO on sales performance and opportunities.

Key Requirements

7+ years in sales leadership roles within FMCG, ideally within confectionery, snacks, or similar product categories.

Proven experience launching new brands/products successfully into the Australian market.

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

Deep understanding of the Australian retail and wholesale landscape, including major retailers and route-to-market models.

Track record of building and scaling sales teams.

Hands-on, agile, and execution-focused leadership style.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
