Guru Hundal Freightlines is a privately owned transport and logistics business that has been established for more than 12 years. With a head office in Altona North, VIC as well as a depot in Dry Creek, SA, we specialise in providing linehaul transportation and local distribution services to a variety of sectors and customers along the east coast of Australia.

As a result of ongoing expansion and growth, we are seeking a motivated and results focused PM Operations Supervisor to join our team and oversee our afternoon and evening transport operations. This is an exciting, hands on role that is crucial to ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our customers.

The primary responsibilities of the role include:

Co-ordinate the execution of the night operational plan

Develop the operational plan for the following day

Monitor and oversee operations - loading, pickups, deliveries, departures and interstate transit

Act as the primary liaison with our heavy vehicle drivers, communicate professionally and support them in executing their role safely

Perform welfare checks on intestate drivers

Manage breakdowns, co-ordinate repairs to minimise driver down time and impact to customers

Build successful relationships with customers and key stakeholders through quality and timely communication

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

A minimum of 3 years experience working in a supervisory position within a transport business providing linehaul services

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Experience managing linehaul and local drivers

Sound understanding of CoR, and heavy vehicle fatigue laws including BFM.

Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy vehicles and the ability to assist drivers or repairers in diagnosing faults or breakdowns

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple pressing priorities and utilise problem solving

MC licence highly regarded
