Overview
Are you a compassionate and skilled Nurse/Midwife looking to make a meaningful difference in your community?
We are looking for a dedicated Community Nurse/Midwife to join our team in Lower Eyre (including Cummins and Tumby Bay), Eyre and Far North Community Health, where you will provide exceptional midwifery services, antenatal and postnatal to patients in a diverse community setting.
As the Community Nurse/Midwife, you will primarily provide nursing and midwifery services and deliver direct, individualised nursing/midwifery care to patients with a range of complexities and cultural backgrounds. You accept accountability for your own practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care in the community, including antenatal and postnatal services.
- Deliver professional support to less experienced staff, including student nurses and enrolled nurses.
- Prioritise and manage workload, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Foster a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving within a clinical setting.
- Contribute to quality improvement and support the professional development of staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate, with at least 3 years post graduate experience.
- Competence: Demonstrated nursing practice in line with relevant standards.
- Skills: Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage priorities with creativity and flexibility.
- Commitment: A dedication to providing consumer/client and family-centred care.
- Knowledge of contemporary midwifery practice, healthcare issues, and relevant legislation.
